So recently.....

Its not that I've been dishonest, its just that I loathe reality.

Preparing for my next styling project, I've gained inspiration from everywhere at the moment! Mainly since I bought the Gaga x Terry Richardson book, it's pretty amazing! I'm looking for the unplanned shots really, they seem to be the most interesting as there's no falseness about them. Therefore making the images more intriguing and you want to know more about the model and the subject of the shoot.

So here are two images taken from the Gaga x Terry book..

Here's one of my photos...

Starting to plan what I'm going to wear for my works Christmas party in 2 weeks time! Yes I know its a while yet, but I can't leave it or ill end up with nothing to wear!!

Decided on this gold top, from a charity shop only cost me £2 its about 3 sizes too big but I can just tuck it into a skirt. Thinking of teaming it with a black skirt from New Look, its a sheer material so I'm hoping it wont look too heavy when i try it all on.

I've had lots of work.

Uni deadlines = lack of updates!

So its now time for my second styling brief, it's about you, so something that relates to me and how I can express that. So i've decided to relate it to my love for Lady Gaga, the way shes forever changing and seems to hide herself behind a mass of different hats and sunglasses, a sort of disguise?

I've chosen a black top hat so far, then maybe i 'll attach hair all the way round it, but in blonde and brown, see how it goes really, hopefuly it'll go quite well! Not forgetting the forever changing wigs!

With my first deadline done, well that was last week! It was the first part of my styling module which went really well, so here's two photos from my shoot.

What an excellent find

Think im slowly but surely falling in love with the vintage shops in Manchester. I found this shirt for £3, yes £3. Im totally in love with it! Still trying to figure out what it looks best with, but as its just plain white with some lace detailing I guess the world is my oyster, so to speak.

Shooting

It was my first week of fashion photography starting on the 26th of September we were told to take a photograph of the same thing three times, it was quite difficult at first as I kept taking two as I found that worked better. I've only got a cheap camera, a fujifilm finepix z35. To be honest it does me fine, getting a new camera at Christmas, no idea what one to get!

Anyway here are some photos from that day;

By taking these photographs its then leading me on to gain inspiration from the different environments around me.

Tacky New York shirt and the black lipstick.

So whilst browsing through many vintage shops in Manchester I came across one called "£5 or less" so I decided to take a look, if you want to find something I would seriously set aside about an hour to go through everything in there. But I came across this shirt which only cost me £3! I quite like mash up of colours and obviously the huge Statue of Liberty on the back!

Moving to Manchester...

So, i've moved to Manchester to be precise Salford to attend university, obviously the University of Salford where I am in my first year of Fashion. Since I have moved here I have noticed a completley different fashion culture to where im from, a little pokey town called Ellesmere Port, where no one really stands out from the crowd so to speak. I shall continue to post what I find whilst living here and what influences me during my 3 years of study!
